Happy Dussehra 2020!

"Dussehra" also known as "Vijaya Dashami" is celebrated in India as one of the greatest festivals. As you are already familiar with the reasons behind this auspicious day of Vijaya Dashmi, there are many reasons to celebrate this day.

But, but, but... every time you just recall the same reasons which you memorize and heard from your elder ones, no one of you uses your own mind to find out at least a single reason by yourself. There is a lot to think about this day. You can relate this day with the present scenario too, or what is the importance of this day in your life?

I remember when I was in school I used to write an essay on Dussehra, and whenever I wrote something different from the actual one given by the teacher, my marks got cut. So, that was only the specific matter which I had to write and my creativity of writing ended up for marks. It happens with many of you also, which results in knowing the specific lines, paragraphs, or essays about the great days like "Dussehra".

Today when I was doing my routine work I thought that every other person in our country is celebrating Dussehra with great joy,  Maybe the rapist, yes, maybe. Maybe the men who are involved in the harassment of women, Maybe the ones who are standing up for the liars, Yes, Now you just try to think and find out, maybe you are one of them. So, I am trying to say that you may have any of the quality of the "Ravana", and on this day we burn the statue of "Ravana" as a victory of truth over untruth. This simply means you are burning the bad and negative qualities of yourself.

The burning of Ravana’s statue shows you that you will get the same punishment as Ravana got in return when he kidnapped Goddess Sita. This was happened in "Satyug". See Lord Rama had already given you the message that if you do anything wrong with women you will be ended up like Ravana. And today also you are celebrating that day with great joy, which reminds you not to do anything wrong with women.

Nowadays crime against women is stepping up rapidly. In newspapers, television, social media everywhere such news of crime against women is serving. For many of you, it is just news, but for the parents who have daughters, it's such horrible. Of the countries studied by Maplecroft on sex trafficking and a crime against minors, India was ranked 7th worst. There are many festivals & traditions through which you can learn to respect women, live a simple life, adopt good qualities, and many more. India is the only country with this huge stuff of knowledge about the way of living. But still, many Indians are lagging behind others in humanity. In the whole year, you have a lot of festivals which remind you about the qualities you should possess which makes your life full of joy and happiness. Dussehra has its own implications in your life if you think the bad quality which you should eradicate from yourself today and get victory over the negative behavior/practices.

Another thing about Ravana is his ego, which is the cause of his death. You should learn from Dussehra that ego can kill even the powerful ones too, so eradicate the ego and always be humble with everyone.

This Dussehra, eradicate the bad practices, ego, negativity, untruth, and whatever bad qualities you have.

 To all the SANATANEES
JAI SHREE RAMA
