How we get the marriage certificate! A Winding Road to a Marriage Certificate A Year and a Half Later After a year and a half of marriage, we finally got our marriage certificate. While the idea seemed simple enough, the reality was far more complex.  As we have had heard from many people that, to register for marriage certificate, first of all we need to register bride's name  in "Parivar register" of Uttarakhand, but as  I am from different state, so, I had to get some formaties done at my state first, taking NOC and then had to submit it in "Block office" of Uttarakhand and register myself in the "Parivar register". So, all this took a lot of time.
