Woman...Amid "COVID-19"

Women- The only individual who makes your house a home.

But what I felt personally women are not treated as the most important part of our home in my own surrounding. Even their own husband & children disrespect them just because of some stereotypes of our society.

Now amid this biggest Pandemic of this era- " COVID-19" women stuck with their children at homes. The almost whole day she spends in cooking & doing house chores. Her life becomes so messier. So instead of discussing the importance of women in our society.  I would prefer to discuss how women can organize their daily schedules.

This point of view is for those women who are playing the role of mother at home, As a mother, you should teach your children to do their work by themselves. Ask your children to help you in the kitchen. Whether your children might be a girl or a boy, you should teach them these things equally. You can ask your son to help out in kitchen work, while you can ask your daughter to bring things from the market. Divide the work among them equally, because as a mother, it's your duty to teach them household work; not to do their whole work by yourself. Make sure that your children should get habitual of this, like doing house chores & cooking is the work of all, not only of the mother. Teach them to do such activities, so that your children trained properly & become allrounder.

Recently I called my friend Prachi, she is also a mother of 4 years old boy. We discussed many issues related to this COVID & daily routines, She told me one conversation between her & one lady of her neighborhood. That lady also has a son who is now in the 11th standard. Her husband was not well because of one road accident. That lady used to work the whole day alone, she helps her husband, preparing the meal, cleaning & dusting, and so on. Her husband & son used to sit and enjoy the whole day. Her son is fully busy with his mobile phone, but she do not ask him for any work. So, when Prachi asked that lady, that you too have your own life, you are just working as a servant whole day. Why don't you ask your son to help you? You know what was her reply. She said that it's only my work to do this. Prachi tried to explain to her that no it's not only a woman who does the work of all other members. They are single individuals and can do their work on their own. Prachi does not agree with her statement that" its only women's duty to do household work". And said to that lady that it's all about your thinking, but I do not think like this, as we all are living in a home, so it's everyone's duty to work together at home & help each other. We can conclude from this conversation that due to our society we make our thinking like it's the lady who should do the house chore. But if we all just started to change the thinking then gradually we can change our surroundings.

Have you noticed, Why do we put Housewife when we usually fill the occupation column of non-working women but never use the house husband for the non-working men?

If yes, then you are one of them who can help society to eradicate these stereotypes, by uplifting the status of women. There are a lot of instances we usually have in our daily life related to these kind of issues.

If No, then you don't have any interest in uplifting the status of women in our society.

Nowadays social media is one of the most significant places to put your views. But people are putting their emotions instead of putting their views. people are putting the status on mother's day, women's day, daughter's day, and so on, but only by uploading the pictures does not mean you are bringing the change in society, for this, you have to convey the practical things, which can help our society to convert these words into actions. If we update any good idea as our status which can be helpful for our society or can bring up a positive change for women's status, then gradually our society becomes famous for these incredible steps in establishing an environment of equality.

You need to utilize this digital world for changing the thinking of society as much as you can. Sometimes your small step can become a vast help to change the thinking of your society.
