RELIGION IN TRADITION.
Religion in tradition
"Tradition: one of those words of conservative people uses as a shortcut to thinking.”
― Warren Ellis
As we all belong to different religions, we have different deity and we all perform different traditions. But we never noticed that the tradition we perform and passing to the next generation is related to religion? Why do we never inquire about any question or doubt over it? We merely close our eyes and believe that tradition. A person who follows and accepts the tradition as it is without any question and the person who never follow a single tradition these two persons are the biggest fools of the world. But the real devotee is one who finds religion in that tradition and accepts the tradition which is acceptable to humanity. An extremely good example comes from "Bhagwat Geeta" that when the people who used to pray to "Lord Indra" for rain. Once when the "Govardhan parvat" saved the people from heavy rain from that day onward they have started worshiping that "Govardhan parvat" so this is the biggest example in which people find religion in tradition, just for the sake of humanity. A religion exists where humanity dwells. In real words, humanity is religion. And a real individual is one who finds the religion in tradition. Religion is nothing but power, positive energy of this universe. We cannot define it. Each one of us got our religion by birth, but through that, we do not learn about this power, instead of this we learn the fake and groundless customs and tradition, and we just stuck in this, and start accepting these customs as our religion. I saw many people discussing religion, which they belong to, like a debate. They compare their religion and try to prove that their religion is best, with many arguments; they generally thought that if they would say more statements about their religion or their religion's god, then definitely they and their religion would be proved to be the greatest. So through this, we can simply conclude that is what people learn about religion by their parents in India. It's not the fault of the specific person, it's a social failure. These are the teachings of our society, our parents, and other family members; because they always teach their children that our religion is best. They only teach them about the positive points or customs which are favorable to them. But they do not teach about the downbeat side of that, they never taught to respect every religion or the lesson of equality. I always heard this in my society, my friend circles that they appreciate and praise their religion only. Countless times it happens with me, I bump into such situations, where a religious debate is going on. I silently listen to those unjustified talks and felt that this is the society where I dwell. These are just the customs or traditions of different religions which make them different from each other, but the GOD is one. So we have to find the religion in tradition, not accept the tradition as religion. We have to find a positive tradition among all religions and make a better surrounding. The power of the universe is in God, not in religion. God is power. Many traditions are the path towards this positivity, like a very nice example strikes in my mind of removing footwear in temples, it is because in the temple a lot of positivity is there and when we enter barefoot and walking inside the temple, the positive vibes enter in our body, from our foot. So in this way we can say that such tradition is the path that takes us to that power, they are just the road, not the destination, tradition is the road and God is the destination. Religions are like a map; which means there are different roads/ways to reach a common destination. I would like to conclude that, there is only one power of the universe; seek to reach that power by accepting the correct tradition.
