Embarking on the Panch Kedar pilgrimage is not just a physical journey but a profound spiritual experience. As you traverse through the towering peaks and pristine landscapes of Uttarakhand, the Panch Kedar temples beckon with tales of devotion, legends, and ancient rituals. Plan your pilgrimage today to witness the divine confluence of nature and spirituality in the heart of the Himalayas.
The story behind Panch Kedar is rooted in Hindu mythology and is associated with the epic Mahabharata. Legend has it that after the Kurukshetra War, the Pandavas sought the blessings of Lord Shiva to absolve themselves of the sins incurred during the battle. Lord Shiva, however, eluded them and took the form of a bull (Nandi).

As the Pandavas pursued Shiva, the bull disintegrated into different body parts at different locations, each of which became a sacred shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. These five shrines together are known as Panch Kedar, symbolizing the divine energy and the interconnectedness of the divine with the natural elements.

Here is the story behind each of the Panch Kedar temples:
