GENDER SENSITIZATION

Image
“Both men and women should feel free to be sensitive. Both men and women should feel free to be strong…it is time that we all perceive gender on a spectrum, not as two opposing sets of ideas.”― Emma Watson See this Bulbul with its broods in the nest. How nicely it's feeding its babies, treating them equally.  No one teaches this kind of parenting to the Bulbul, But still, this Bulbul is treating the babies equally without knowing their sex or gender. I think we should learn something from this Bulbul, to treat the children equally, to give them equal freedom, to give them equal rights. These creatures are better than we humans, at least they are treating their younger ones equally. As recently I attended the webinar on "Gender sensitization", I really felt something very knowledgeable and practical. Many things related to gender inequality are happening around us but we don't even notice them. It starts from the birth of the child when people determined ...

DETACHMENT.....AN UNBEARABLE PAIN.

Image
THE STORY OF CHAMPA.           "You only lose what you cling to"-Buddha. Champa(flower) As we all have to detach from one and the other person in our life, just because of a common reason that is death. But sometimes in spite of death, there are many distinct reasons too. And at last,  Detachment gives a bottomless pain, suffering, and hardships. It's a very decisive time in everyone's life to bear such pain of detachment.                    However, I have a practically accepted example given by our environment. It's like a good experience for me which shows that our nature also gives us many instances to triumph over hardships.                        Once in my working place, a flowering tree was trimmed by some gardeners, they were cutting the needless branches to give it a proper pattern. As it is my favorite flower tree typ...

SIGNIFICANCE OF SELF-DEPENDENT

Image
SIGNIFICANCE OF SELF-DEPENDENT We all agreed that one day we have to pay for our greediness. There is a real story about the greedy man, named Ganesh. Once there was a man, when he was young, his parents used to fulfill all his wishes and demands. Then, He got married and has children. Still, his parents gave whole attention to him and his family. His parents loved and pampered him and his family a lot. Now again the parents started to fulfill the needs of Ganesh's family. Now he got habitual of those practices. He became greedy and clever too, he wanted that likewise he can bring up his children and can fulfill his desires. But after the death of his parents. He thought another way to squeeze money from others, now he started trapping his elder brothers, now the same as his parents his brothers bringing up Ganesh and his family. Ganesh was a clever man; he behaves like an innocent in front of his brothers. Now as his brothers brought up his children, gave enough luxuries, ...

RESULT OF BOARD EXAMINATION.

Image
"Your exam results do not define you as  person and \or predict your future."                           -Laura Henry It's time for results....yes 10th & 12th board results. I heard that several students topped in these exams. People are saying congratulation to those who topped or got good marks. But no one thought about those who got lesser marks or got failed. Yeah, it's fine to appreciate the toppers but somewhere it works as demoralization for the other students. Why our society made these comparisons based on just marks?                                                       Recently my friend's brother who is very intelligent got 63% in 12th from CBSE Board, and as the result declared all the relatives and friends start comparing their children's marks with his ...

How to teach discipline?

Image
"Your kids require you most of all to love them for who they are, not to spend your whole time trying to correct them."        -Bill Ayers Discipline in itself is a very big word or we can simply say that it is the other name of success, because with discipline we can get success in everything. Discipline can solve many issues and make our life very straightforward. But the question is How to teach discipline? And this question is primarily for parents and teachers. If we talk about history, then at that time children used to go and reside in "Gurukuls" with their "Gurus". So if we think over this point then we can say that their "Gurus" also lived in those "Ashrams" and living the same life as their disciple. It shows us that they taught discipline by giving their own example. They are the real ideal for their students. In this way, they gave a direct impression of their disciplined personality and living standard to their pup...

RELIGION IN TRADITION.

Image
Religion in tradition "Tradition: one of those words of conservative people uses as a shortcut to thinking.” ― Warren Ellis As we all belong to different religions, we have different deity and we all perform different traditions. But we never noticed that the tradition we perform and passing to the next generation is related to religion? Why do we never inquire about any question or doubt over it? We merely close our eyes and believe that tradition. A person who follows and accepts the tradition as it is without any question and the person who never follow a single tradition these two persons are the biggest fools of the world. But the real devotee is one who finds religion in that tradition and accepts the tradition which is acceptable to humanity. An extremely good example comes from "Bhagwat Geeta" that when the people who used to pray to "Lord Indra" for rain. Once when the "Govardhan parvat" saved the people from heavy rain from that day onwar...

Veracity or Fearlessness.

Veracity or  Fearlessness “Fearlessness is the first requisite of spirituality. Cowards can never be moral.” ― Mahatma Gandhi veracity and fearlessness are the two words which have unlike meaning in dictionary but if we talk about the consequence of these words in real life then they are one and the same to each other in practical life. Numerous times we use to conceal truth just for the sake of righteousness but this concealed truth sometimes takes place in our unconscious mind which creates terror in our mind and this single lie sometimes make our life hell, because we don’t understand that this is not the solution to the problem or we never do or expect something good by hiding the truth. No matter what our circumstances are, no matter what others think and react over that. What matters is that our mind gets stress-free after expressing our feelings, our thoughts, and our exactness. So in this way, we can channelize our energy into creating something good instead o...

Upbringing of Children

Image
Upbringing of children "Children must be taught how to think not what to think" Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, Which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, But seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children As living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, And He bends you with His might That His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness; For even as He love...
